CPActive is the advocacy campaign from Cerebral Palsy Alliance, a not-for-profit disability service and research organisation which helps thousands of Australians with cerebral palsy and similar disabilities. The CPActive community brings together people with disability, families, disability workers and allies who are passionate about creating positive, lasting change for people with disability. Our goal is to amplify the voices of lived experience to make sure people with disability have a say on the issues that affect them. CPActive is led by people with lived experience of cerebral palsy who are passionate about making change for their community.
About the role
This role is responsible for delivering administrative support to the
Young Changemakers program
and the CPActive team to deliver on programs and initiatives that work towards building capacity of the CPActive Community, in collaboration with people with lived experience of cerebral palsy and work towards specific strategic objectives.
This is a part-time role for 15.2 hours per week for a 12 month fixed term contract.

Responsibilities of the role (not limited to):

  • Assisting with logistics, scheduling, and coordination of community development programs and initiatives
  • Maintaining records, tracking progress, and handling documentation related to CPActive activities
  • Supporting program participants with basic troubleshooting on course information, access and technology requirements
  • Formatting and uploading learning content as required for across online learning platforms
  • Collaborating with people with lived experience of cerebral palsy to ensure ongoing quality improvement of CPActive initiatives

About you:

  • Lived experience of cerebral palsy preferred
  • Previous administration experience
  • Sound computer literacy, and experience with Moodle, Zoom, and social media platforms preferred
  • Well-developed written communication skills
  • Passion for social justice and advocacy
  • Demonstrated ability to be open minded and flexible, resourceful and strategic
