Description:

We are on the lookout for a visionary Creative Technologist who combines a deep knowledge of technology with a strong creative passion. This role involves transforming imaginative ideas into compelling digital experiences that engage and inspire users.
Allow us to introduce ourselves

ALLOW US TO INTRODUCE OURSELVES

We’re Apparent, a full-service, independent agency made up of 140 thinkers, creators and solution-makers doing what we do best. One thing you should know about us: we’ve got an entrepreneurial spirit, and we know the work worth doing doesn’t fit into neat, tidy boxes. And neither should you, for that matter.
Our warehouse space in Redfern is here for you to gather, make stuff you’re proud of and grow your strengths (even if they have nothing to do with your job description).
We punch well above our weight, with some of the biggest clients in the world on our roster, from tech giants like Google and IBM, to local icons like Tourism Australia and Cricket Australia.
Our approach? We call it the red thread. In other words, it’s the thing that connects everything we do, from the customer, through to the client and brand. On any given day you can expect to cross paths with someone in strategy, brand, creative, content production, social media, UX/UI, technology and media planning and buying. Oh and dogs, too. You’ll definitely cross paths with adorable dogs.

A few things you’ll like about working here:

  • A flexible and hybrid working policy
  • Generous parental leave and summer days off
  • Heaps of growth and training opportunities
  • 24/7 access to our employee assistance program for you and your family

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong proficiency as a developer comfortable in multiple programming languages and adaptable to unfamiliar technologies.
  • Extensive experience with modern web technologies, particularly in projects that require interactive and visual elements.
  • Ability to quickly produce animations and motion studies to visualise application dynamics.
  • Experience with 3D modelling tools like Blender or Spline is considered a bonus.
  • Demonstrated passion for design, motion, and interaction, supported by a compelling portfolio.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools or projects is a strong plus, showcasing ability to present complex information in an accessible and aesthetically pleasing manner.
Enough about us. We’d love to hear from you at careers@apparent.com.au.
Only those with the relevant experience will be considered for this opportunity.
You’re curious. You ask questions. You hunt down answers. Just like Apparent.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop front-end and back-end solutions that blend seamlessly, focusing on creating visually oriented and interactive experiences.
  • Experience with modern web tools and platforms including React, Next.js, Typescript, and an expertise with WebGL (three.js with react-three-fiber a huge plus) for developing advanced web applications.
  • Experiment with emerging technologies and mediums like AR/VR, AI, and digital installations, leveraging new tools across various platforms.
  • Produce rapid visualisations of how applications move and interact using animation tools such as Adobe After Effects, Animate, or similar software, regardless of the specific tool used.
  • Apply skills in less traditional areas like creating browser extensions, Figma plugins, and API integrations to facilitate unique creative outputs.
  • Work collaboratively to integrate multiple systems and technologies, enhancing both functionality and user experience.
  • Experience working in an agency environment and with a cross functional team from prototyping & concepting all the way through to production.
