YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Are you an experienced Cyber leader ready to make a real impact across Australian defence program? We’re seeking a Cyber Manger to lead and grow our Cyber capability, shaping the future of our security posture across multiple locations in Australia.
As part of our Engineering & Technology leadership team, you’ll play a pivotal role in building capability, supporting program delivery, and partnering with functional leaders to solve complex challenges.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this full-spectrum leadership position, you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership in the development, governance, and management of our Cyber capability.
  • Lead the delivery of cyber governance, risk and compliance (GRC) frameworks, tools, and strategies.
  • Oversee initiatives in education, awareness, audit methodologies, frameworks, and compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate with other functional leaders to deliver pragmatic, innovative solutions across programs.
  • Drive the development of people, processes, tools, and training to strengthen Cyber capability.
  • Support program delivery, reviews, bids, and proposals, ensuring effective governance and oversight.
  • Build and maintain a strong workplace culture that values collaboration, performance, and personal excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and mentor Cyber professionals to maximise their potential and contribution.
  • Ensure robust functional governance of projects and bids.
  • Guide functional leadership on cyber engineering policies and processes.
  • Share accountability for program execution and delivery of Cyber work packages.
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and change management.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Extensive experience in Cyber governance and technical leadership within acquisition and sustainment programs.
  • A proven track record of leading teams and individuals to achieve outstanding results.
  • Advanced leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire capability development.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, foster innovation, and deliver pragmatic solutions.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline from a recognised institution, and/or equivalent relevant experienc
