Data Analyst

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our growing Data and Analytics team.
This role includes taking requirements from business users and translating those into technical solutions. To do this you will elicit and refine requirements into actionable features, user stories and tasks aligned to Wates’s standards and data strategy.
This requires characterisation of raw data to identify the gold source, identify the grain, dimensions, common business language and transformation required. Designing data models around a Star Schema and constructing these and implementing metrics (using DAX) and either hand over to a business user as a mature dataset or development of an end dashboard, report, or other analytics artifact dependant on requirement.
This role holder needs to be able to communicate effectively with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, then produce informative, effective, and well formatted visualisations and present findings clearly to senior stakeholders.

KNOWLEDGE

• Basic Business Requirements Management within an Agile framework
• Business stakeholder management
• Basic project management skills
• Experience in data analysis or data science
• Data analysis and data modelling skills Fluency in DAX and Python
• Experience with Power BI and data manipulation skills
• Data Modelling (Conceptual and Logical)
