The role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Centre and Telecommunications Analyst to join our Technology Infrastructure team. In this role, you will maintain and develop the operational integrity of our three airports — Manchester, East Midlands, and Stansted — across data centre infrastructure, telecommunications, and radio systems.
You will support the research, design, configuration, and maintenance of systems, software, and tools associated with data centres, communications rooms, analogue and digital telecom platforms, and digital radio systems. This includes managing analogue, IP, and cloud-based telecommunication systems such as Microsoft Teams, AudioCodes, OVOC, and Siemens & Ericsson PABX.
You will be responsible for both proactive and reactive maintenance, ensuring compliance with internal SLAs. This includes configuration, documentation updates, network administration, monthly dashboard reporting, and collaborating with suppliers to deliver scheduled maintenance and rapid incident resolution.
The role also involves building strong relationships with colleagues, contractors, and suppliers, and occasionally deputising for the Data Centre & Telecommunications Manager.
What will make you successful in the role?
We are looking for a multi-skilled professional with hands-on experience in electrical, telecommunications, electronic, or IT engineering, supported by ITIL Management knowledge. You will have:
