Description:

Overview:
The Data Privacy and Security Technical Lead supports all activities related to the protection and security of enterprise data assets in order to prevent and mitigate data privacy vulnerabilities. This position will be responsible for leading the technical design, deployment and maintenance of key processes that pertain to the provisioning of access to data assets and the protection of sensitive data. The Data Privacy and Security Technical Lead will ensure adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for data policies, standards, and practices to achieve the required level of consistency, quality, and protection to meet overall needs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required.
  • Experience: Minimum six years in IAM, data privacy, or other related role, required.
  • Additional Skills (required): Understanding of sensitive data, data masking, and provisioning access to data. Advanced experience with Microsoft SQL and/or Python, regular expressions, APIs, RBAC and/or ABAC. Ability to work under deadlines and heavy workloads with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills. Ability to learn complex workflows.Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Values and encourages team collaboration. Possesses a strong understanding of business and technology disciplines.Expert knowledge of provisioning access to data. Experience with designing and implementing technical solutions, including the integration with downstream sources.Expert experience with querying data on various data sources. Strong knowledge of regular expressions and APIs. Ability to perform research, data collection, quality assurance, analysis and problem solving. Expert experience with RBAC and/or ABAC. Values a culture of protecting data. Utilization of change management processes and agile methodology.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements (preferred): Experience with development and best practices using a data privacy tool, such as Immuta or Apache Ranger. Experience with healthcare EMR, such as Epic. Knowledge of PHI/PII data. Understanding of agile framework and methodology.
