Julius Baer seeks a highly motivated team player (m/f/d) to support the Legal Data & Privacy team in a wide range of operational data protection tasks. In this role, you will respond to day-to-day business requests, guide business stakeholders through data protection processes, and answer questions on data protection issues.

YOUR PROFILE

To be successful, you should have the following qualities:

  • At least 2 years of professional experience within a bank and areas of either data protection or data governance
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in law; additional certifications in data privacy or technology law are an advantage
  • Knowledge of Swiss and EU data protection laws
  • You are passionate and curious for technology, innovation, and digitalisation topics and willing to constantly expand your knowledge in the relevant fields of expertise
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to efficiently communicate with stakeholders of a broad variety of backgrounds (such as Information Security, IT, IT Sourcing, Chief Data Officer, Procurement, HR, Business and Legal)
  • You are a positive self-starter with a can-do attitude who proactively approaches challenges in an analytical way and comes up with structured and tailored solutions
  • Excellent command of German and English (written and spoken)

Responsibilities:

  • Providing guidance as needed to complete data protection reviews
  • Managing data protection issues related to data incidents
  • Processing data subject requests
  • Maintaining the Intra-Group Data Transfer Agreement and assisting completion of Transfer Impact Assessments
  • Coordinating the maintenance of the Records of Processing Activities
  • Providing first-hand data protection advice on to day-to-day business requests
  • Assuming project management tasks for the implementation of data protection related project
