QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Proficiency in SQL and database design principles.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
- Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions for databases.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Knowledge of database security best practices.
- Understanding of database replication and clustering.
- Previous experience with large-scale database infrastructure.
