Your Role: We are seeking an individual who will specialize in complex analytical, cash management, investment analysis, debt management, capital planning and forecasting functions as they relate to all Port businesses. The successful candidate will make recommendations on decisions of considerable impact or consequences involving highly specialized and/or technical areas requiring application and interpretation of data, facts, procedures, policies, and laws and in-depth understanding of all aspects of the Port’s business.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Two or more years in a Financial Analyst or related role working on debt, cash, and investment or related activities OR;
  • Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties.

DEMONSTRATED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Senior level at using Excel for task, reporting, projects and more.
  • Financial modeling, accounting systems, analysis, and reporting.
  • Understanding of investment of public funds, principles of public finance debt issuance and management.
  • Helpful to have knowledge of Marine, Aviation and real estate and business development along with Port funding sources.

Responsibilities:

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare complex recurring financial analyses in support of the Port’s capital finance, treasury and debt functions. Support short and long-term project funding strategies for the organization to ensure optimal utilization of resources.
  • Update forecast models to help inform timing and size of new debt.
  • Support all aspects of financings. Support post-issuance compliance activities including building and maintaining extensive knowledge of the covenants and obligations in the Port’s debt documents, undertaking continuing disclosure obligations, supporting the production of arbitrage rebate calculations, producing debt service and all other debt-related payments, undertaking reserve fund analysis, and creating other reporting as required.
  • Create and manage recurring financial forecast models to monitor investments and liquidity; provide insights into financial performance and sustainability.
  • Assist with recurring cash management, and investment reporting activities. Develop complex financial analyses supporting the Port’s operations. Support the Department’s efforts to translate complex and ambiguous business problems to simple analytical frameworks, providing solution-focused analyses that anticipate impending decisions and illustrate trade-offs.
  • Collaborate with project teams and key contributors across all Port business lines Assist with the fund management processes and reports for grants, passenger facility charge (PFC), rental car customer facility charge (CFC), and debt funded projects.
  • Provide financial reports, models, presentations in a variety of formats for consideration by senior management and Executive Team, supporting the Port’s goals, strategies, and mission. Recommend changes to enhance operating efficiencies.
