Over the course of fiscal 2022-23, OLG delivered a record $2.5 billion in net profit to the Province of Ontario. OLG is now expanding our horizons even further, with a new strategic direction, to become a world class gaming entertainment leader with a globally admired digital platform.
We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Director Delivery Enablement to lead the capability and service for Enterprise Technology by providing guidance and structure on delivery methods and practices to maximize realization of business value. This includes defining, maintaining and evolving the methodologies required for Technology teams to deliver new business value, including the use of industry leading frameworks (e.g., Agile and Project Management methodologies). This also includes leading a team of delivery professionals that leverage a variety of delivery approaches as necessary to drive business outcomes across the EIT (Enterprise Information Technology) portfolio.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Sr Director Business Management & Delivery Enablement, you will be empowered to:

  • Define, implement, and maintain Enterprise Technology’s value delivery methodologies, considering a spectrum of practices that will drive measurable business value to OLG
  • Collaborate with delivery groups across OLG to ensure alignment of delivery approaches to maximize value delivery when undertaking initiatives that cut across divisions and require complex coordination
  • Provide leadership on adoption and application of best-fit methodologies to enable desired value delivery outcomes
  • Guide the organizational transition to product-oriented delivery and align existing guidance on project/program delivery to product operating model
  • Leads a team of delivery professionals to implement and leverage methodologies to provide delivery enablement across the products, projects, and programs across OLG as required
  • Lead the management of delivery capability to support delivery in the context of Product Squads, projects and programs across technology, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals
  • Allocate delivery resources with appropriate skills and experience to support the business needs, enabling the team to share knowledge, unblock organizational impediments, and improve productivity across all teams
  • Guide delivery issue and risk mitigation strategies by identifying critical issues and driving effective resolution
  • Lead team of delivery professionals and other stakeholders to provide leadership enabling effective delivery of business outcomes
  • Support the professional growth of team members through building strong relationships as a mentor, and monitoring talent, competency, and skill development to ensure attainment of individual career goals and department objectives
  • Create an environment of collaborative teamwork, promoting collective accountability, constructive dialogue, and diverse perspectives
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Service Providers, senior leadership, the regulator, vendors, and internal functional teams
  • Build a dynamic and continuously evolving delivery practice that builds and evolves the skills of delivery professionals and support Agile ways-of-working for broader organization
  • Inspire, motivate, and empower people to achieve organizational goals.
