JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dedicated Diet Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing diet changes, recording daily meal counts, and interacting with patients about menu choices. This role involves answering calls from nursing units, completing tube feeding tickets, and ensuring accurate patient nutrition. The candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, performance-based call center environment and maintain a positive, customer-focused demeanor. Knowledge of therapeutic diets and adherence to safety and sanitation standards are essential. Compliance with ARAMARK?s operational standards and local, state, and federal regulations is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

? Previous customer service and/or call center experience preferred
? Experience in food service, as a dietary clerk, or in a related field preferred
? Needs to communicate fluently in the English language, bilingual or multilingual a plus.
? Ability to stay calm under pressure.
? Comfort with using technology including web-based software, keyboard, and telephone headset for the majority of shift. Typical typing of 35 ? 45 wpm.
? Must be flexible and adaptable to change.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for making diet changes in Geri-menu.
  • Print and sort tray line tickets.
  • Answer phone calls from the nursing units.
  • Record daily meal counts.
  • Complete tube feeding tickets.
  • Interact with patients about menu choices.
  • Function comfortably in a fast-paced, performance-based call center environment where every call is recorded and assessed to ensure performance levels are maintained.
  • Maintain a friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers.
  • Be adaptable to customer needs.
  • Answer phones, take menu orders, answer questions, or appropriately direct calls from patients related to their meal or other nutritional needs.
  • Use software to record patient orders.
  • Maintain general knowledge of therapeutic diets to ensure meal orders are processed accurately.
  • Work closely with doctors, nurses, and the Food & Nutrition team to ensure accurate patient nutrition.
  • Maintain the privacy, safety, and dignity of each customer by observing client confidentiality and closely adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ensure compliance with ARAMARK?s standards of operation and adhere to ARAMARK?s Business Conduct Policy at all times.
  • Maintain all records and reports to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
