JOB SUMMARY
The University Budget Office (UBO) advises the University’s senior leadership on financial, capital, and operational matters. The UBO is seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to serve as Director of Finance and Area Fiscal Officer who engages across the University to provide valuable financial insights, analysis, and recommendations for senior leaders. This role will conduct various analyses of existing or future challenges using data sets such as finances, facilities and personnel. This individual will be instrumental in fostering the development of others and will act as a change agent, collaborating with internal stakeholders to support operational initiatives.
Key responsibilities include the preparation of financial reports using the University reporting systems and distribute reports to appropriate stakeholders and assist with month-end and quarterly closing processes.
The successful candidate will establish and maintain productive relationships with colleagues across the University, facilitating a deeper understanding of the potential strategic and operational impacts arising from various initiatives.
As a key member of the University Budget Office leadership team, the individual will provide insights and guidance for senior leaders across the University. They will encourage the continuous learning and growth of their direct reports as well as unit-level business officers, supporting these key partners in solving complex problems.
The position reports to the Deputy Chief Budget Officer and will be responsible for supervising staff in the University Budget Office.
