About the Role
This role is critical to lead the development and implementation of climate scenario analysis for ANZ. In this role, you will work with key stakeholders across the Group to assess potential climate-related risks, opportunities and impacts using scenario analysis to help inform risk management and strategy.

What will your day look like?

Responsibilities:

Working with key stakeholders across the Bank (including Risk, Group ESG and business units) and external consultants to develop an approach to climate scenario analysis and stress testing, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards, as appropriate.
Leading the design, delivery and execution of key strategic priorities for climate scenario analysis.
Supporting the development of metrics, methodologies and models that reflect ANZ’s portfolio and risk profile and incorporate the latest research and industry best practice.
Integrating insights from scenario analysis into ANZ’s risk management framework (including policies, processes and decision making), identification of opportunities and business strategy.
Providing climate scenario analysis subject matter expertise to key stakeholders across the Group.
Advising senior management and risk committees on climate scenario analysis, including outcomes and insights of assessments, insights from emerging trends, regulatory developments and industry best practices, integration into risk frameworks and strategy and improving capability and education uplift.
Contributing to scenario analysis sections of climate-related disclosures.
What will you bring?
The ‘must have’ knowledge, skill and experience (KSE) the role requires are:
Extensive banking experience, working across roles such as stress testing, credit risk modelling/ metrics, risk reporting or consulting.
Strong numerical, analytical and critical thinking skills to extract insights from complex data and communicate them effectively to a range of senior business stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to develop cross-functional relationships across the organisation, including influencing and succeeding through collaboration.
Sets goals and delivers results, with experience in leading self and others in delivering change.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, with a track record of working under pressure and managing conflicting responsibilities.
The ‘good to have’ knowledge, skill and experience (KSE) the role requires are:
Experience, knowledge and understanding of climate risk and scenario analysis, including keeping up to date with emerging global industry insights and trends.
