Our ideal Director of Business Development candidate will have a significant impact on TAK’s success through the identification and pursuit of new opportunities that will expand our customer base, increase revenues, and grow profitability. Requirements:
- 10+ years of telecommunications industry experience in sales, market development, and account management.
- Proven history of successful development/implementation of sales strategies, public policy outreach and the strategic partner development. .
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others, particularly strategic partners, in the achievement of tangible results.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build/maintain strong and long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset – ability to evaluate data, identify trends and patterns, and make data-driven decisions.
- Initiative-taking, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and very growing industry.
- Strong organizational skills – ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and meet deadlines.
- Willingness and ability for extensive travel as required
Responsibilities:
- Develop and, taking a hands-on approach, implement comprehensive new market development and sales strategies in alignment with TAK’s business goals and objectives.
- Leverage your network and expertise to identify new business opportunities, analyze market trends/competitors, and establish strategic partnerships with industry and government players.
- Attend industry networking, government roundtables and business generation events as a TAK representative.
- Ability to speak to, and explain in public forums, how TAK can achieve industry wide objectives for potential customers.
- Oversee all aspects of the sales process, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure, always ensuring a seamless customer experience.
- Analyze and report on government activities that can drive business to TAK.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Collaborate internally to ensure alignment and the maximization of cross-functional effectiveness.
