SUMMARY
As a Disaster Project Manager with Catholic Charities of Acadiana, you will play a pivotal role in managing and executing projects that contribute to our mission. This role requires a proactive individual who can oversee various aspects of construction work, lead and train volunteers, and coordinate disaster response efforts. JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or at least two years of relevant professional experience; At least two major natural disaster responses preferred.
- Knowledge in construction, Google Documents, and project management solutions preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of disaster construction projects, ensuring timely and effective completion.
- Manage and organize materials for projects on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Identify and communicate potential project problems or hazards to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Lead and train volunteer groups in construction procedures, techniques, and safety practices, including chainsaw use, muck and gut, and tarping.
- Assist in maintaining the CCA warehouse and inventory, ensuring proper storage and availability of materials.
- Support CCA’s disaster response efforts both locally and when deployed outside the area.
- Communicate and coordinate home recovery projects with DDDR and RTA, and lead local “mission trips” within the context of disaster response.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support the organization’s mission and objectives.
