WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS ROLE:
Our business is growing, rapidly and due to this we have created a Distribution Centre Team Lead who will be integral in supporting our Distribution Services Manager. One of our critical success factors is delivering products to our restaurants/stores on time and in full to ensure that they can deliver an exceptional customer experience.
This critical role is hands-on and operates within a small, but mightily effective distribution team. You’ll ensure that the Distribution Centre runs smoothly and efficiently whilst creating a positive culture for the team whilst keeping them safe and setting high standards. This will involve the following:
- Leadership & Guidance: Provide scheduling, training, coaching and performance management of staff and fostering a productive and team-oriented work environment
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipments along with overseeing inbound, outbound, claims and cycle counting activities.
- Order Dispatch & Transport Management: Manage daily order dispatch and coordination with transport providers
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE:
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience in Warehouse and Logistics, ideally in food and beverage, FMCG, QSR, hospitality or a related industry.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and engage team members.
- Strong inventory management experience with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of establishing and building effective working relationships with people of all cultures and stakeholders/employees at all levels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the capacity to produce high-quality reports and analysis using Microsoft Office 365.
- A positive, customer-focused service-ethic.
- Proficiency in inventory management software
- Current forklift license is a must.
