Team Overview:
Being part of the Driver Growth Operations team offers a unique opportunity to drive growth at one of the fastest-growing tech companies. This data-driven role requires a rare blend of user-centric analytical thinking and strong interpersonal skills. You will collaborate closely with a tight team to launch, build, and manage DiDi’s business in Spanish-speaking Latin America. Be prepared for a hectic, fast-paced, and challenging environment—there’s never a dull moment!
Members of the Driver Growth Operations team play a crucial role in the expansion and sustainability of the business. You will be tasked with devising excellent offline solutions to connect, influence, and build a strong supply base. Most importantly, your solutions will need to scale while overseeing business growth. Your processes and projects will have a direct impact on DiDi’s growth in LATAM!
Role Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Testing and Iteration: From a wide array of potential offline campaigns, you will test and iterate to determine the most effective strategies for driver acquisition and driver engagement.
  • Building Playbooks: You will develop and execute playbooks, synthesizing best practices to create institutional capabilities for SSL Mobility, contributing to the long-term differentiation of Offline Capability.
  • Managing Scalability: You will organize, influence, and establish a network of dozens, if not hundreds, of on-the-ground agents to ensure scalability.
  • Vendor and Personnel Management: You will select, evaluate, and train third-party vendors and personnel to support Offline Driver Acquisition Capability.
  • Expansion: You will optimize and expand Offline Operations from Mexico to other countries across Spanish-speaking Latin America.
  • Vendor Operations: You will effectively manage vendor operations and personnel to achieve Driver Acquisition at optimal unit costs.
  • Operational Excellence: You will drive lean and streamlined processes, performance tracking, and organizational structure for Offline Acquisition Operations.
  • Performance Monitoring: You will closely monitor operations performance and deliver results and strategy presentations and reports to internal stakeholders.
  • Growth Strategies: You will identify and implement new growth strategies through constant on-the-field market intelligence and execution.
  • Communication and Relationships: You will maintain highly efficient communication and strong relationships with internal and external customers, as well as potential project partners.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will build strong collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth Offline Operations. You’ll interact frequently with teams such as Procurement, Marketing, Legal, GA, Finance, and Compliance.

Role Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience: 5-8 years of excellence in user acquisition, sales, and managing on-the-field operations with multiple people under your supervision, including directing third-party vendor operations.
  • Relentless Drive: Demonstrated commitment to sales, deliverable management, face-to-face client interactions, and training and developing sales teams.
  • Resilience: Proven ability to be self-motivated, self-directed, highly driven, and eager to take ownership of tasks to ensure effective solutions.
  • User-Centric: Strong understanding of the needs, motivators, and challenges of ride-hailing drivers, with the ability to align these insights with our value proposition.
  • Problem Solver: Unique strength in identifying bottlenecks and developing creative solutions.
  • Technical Skills: Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel/Google Sheets) are essential. Proficiency in other databases (SQL) and data visualization is highly desirable. Comfort with learning and using new software tools is expected.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a commercial-related field.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English and Spanish, as we are an international team.
  • Travel Availability: Willingness to travel both nationally and internationally.
