Employment Type: Full Time, Term – Ending July 2026 (35 hours per week)

The Opportunity: Quick description of job (3-4 sentences), then 3 bullets of main responsibilities:

  • The Early Years Outreach Worker is responsible for providing developmentally appropriate programming for multiple communities. The Outreach worker is also responsible for referring families to the appropriate services throughout the community, assisting the therapists and maintaining up to date information for families to access. In this role you will:
  • Conduct screenings and assessments
  • Discuss child development and positive parenting practice with clients
  • Make appropriate referrals for children and their families
  • Make home visits to infants/pre-school aged children to assess their development

  • Knowledge of First Nations culture and traditions (specifically Carrier and Sekani) •
  • Experience working in an office setting, serving clients, and answering routine inquiries •
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting

  • Ability to refer clients to other resources such as parent groups, therapists and, community groups, etc
