Potential candidate would possess good culinary expertise in the spice utilization and East-Indian cuisine, proficiency in preparing diverse curry dishes, aptitude for collaborating seamlessly within a fast-paced kitchen environment, and a keen eye for innovative ingredients. Responsibilities include, preparing dishes on the menu and ensuring quality control, meal preparation, cooking and proper presentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and prepare a variety of curry dishes according to the restaurant’s menu and standards.
  • Ensure that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality, and supervise the stock to maintain an adequate supply of ingredients.
  • Follow sanitation and safety
  • Procedures and ensure that the kitchen complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Train and supervise to ensure the quality and consistency of dishes.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant’s management to develop new curry dishes and create daily specials.
  • Manage and maintain kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, tandoor and fryers, to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in food and ingredients to ensure the restaurant remains competitive and innovative.
  • Manage inventory to help management ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and profitably.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience working as a Indian cuisine chef.
  • In-depth knowledge of various spices.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices to ensure that the kitchen and food preparation areas are clean and free from contamination.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
