TITLE:

Electrical Engineer

  • Are you an Electrical Engineer with experience of working within industrial infrastructure projects?
  • Do you have an interest in medium and high voltage electrical systems?
  • Do you like variety and have an interest to work within water and defence projects?

Due to continued growth and project wins we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in Adelaide to provide support to water and defence projects.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with experience of working within the building services environment.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
  • Seeking candidates with electrical engineering experience in industrial infrastructure, utility, mining or resources environment.
  • Ability to perform power system analysis (i.e. load flow, fault level) and protection studies utilising ETAP or PTW electrical software to assist with general electrical designs.
  • Previous experience with power distribution (i.e. MV & LV) and equipment specification (i.e. power transformers, MV/LV switchgear, cabling, lighting, Earthing, Lightning).
  • Design knowledge of applicable codes and standards (both Australian and international).
  • Australian Citizenship preferred with the ability to obtain NV1 Defence clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing electrical designs for LV and MV power systems, including creating drawings such as single lines, schematics, layouts, GAs, and cable schedules. Perform basic electrical calculations like maximum demand, cable sizing, and heat load.
  • Support the development of engineering documents, including design reports, scopes of work, equipment schedules, datasheets, and drawing registers.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary internal and external project teams and help coordinate drafting throughout the design process.
