DETAILS

• Department: Diagnostic Cardiology Unit
• Schedule: PRN- as needed, 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. or 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., minimun of 6 shifts within a 6 week period, including weekends and holidays.
• Hospital: Ascension St. Joseph
• Location: Elgin, IL
  This position will be a combination as a EEG Technician and EKG Technician.

REQUIREMENTS

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Perform diagnostic electroencephalograph (EEG) testing.

• Attache, connect, and operate electrodes from specified body areas to leads from electroencephalograph machine.
• Review patient’s record and instructs patients prior to procedures.
• Monitor patient during procedures and reports any abnormal findings.
• Identify and correct for artifacts.
• Edit and forward results to attending physician for analysisand interpretation.
• Maintain EEG equipment and supplies
