MISSION

Join our 2-year Graduate Program starting with the Carbon & Energy Systems Graduate, here in Ireland.

Responsibilities:

ACT 2030 is the name the Colas Group gives to its strategy to deal with the many CSR responsibilities that it currently faces - ranging from environmental, health & safety and carbon reduction measures. Under the ACT 2030 program, Colas has given eight commitments to its stakeholders that are designed to address these responsibilities: sustainable development, circular economy solutions, Carbon and biodiversity action, reducing the impact of our activities, attracting and developing talent, fostering a strong health and safety culture, building a responsible supply chain.
The Carbon & Energy Systems Engineering Intern will assist Colas teams to focus specifically on carbon reduction measures and work with designated individuals targeting the rolling out of actions to reduce direct emissions from our activities. A list of the key activities that the intern will be tasked to engage in and take a leading role are as follows:

  • Review and optimize which Colas Business Unit(s) are best placed to lease hydrogen vehicles based on the existing infrastructure set-up and facilities - to include type of vehicle(s)
  • Review what contractual/lease arrangements will apply and investigate lease-sharing opportunities with other SH2AMROCK infrastructure partners and/or with industry competitors;
  • Review the LCOH to provide analysis of the design and hydrogen fuel costs.
