THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Engineering Lead to join our leadership team at EY Tech Collective. As an Engineering Lead, you will work closely with the Product Lead and Design Lead to shape the future of our digital products and technology capabilities. You will lead a team of 8 direct engineering reports and oversee a total of 18 technologists. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with people management and strategic responsibility, helping drive the engineering excellence that underpins our products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and grow an engineering team of 8 direct reports and a broader group of 18 technologists. Provide guidance, coaching, and career development opportunities. Drive efforts to grow the team, including hiring and onboarding new engineering talent.
  • Technical Strategy: Collaborate with the CTO to define the technology roadmap and strategic initiatives that align with the business vision. Drive adoption of best practices, frameworks, and tools that elevate our technology stack.
  • Collaboration with Product & Design: Partner closely with the Product Lead and Design Lead to deliver impactful digital solutions. Ensure cross-functional collaboration and alignment across product, engineering, and design teams.
  • Engineering Excellence: Establish and maintain high engineering standards, focusing on quality, performance, and scalability. Lead efforts to continuously improve processes and team efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions. Communicate complex engineering concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Innovation & Problem Solving: Drive innovation and experimentation, keeping our technology cutting-edge while solving customer challenges through creative technical solutions.
