THE OPPORTUNITY

Unity is the editor and ubiquitous engine that runs real-time interactive content everywhere seamlessly, enabling content creators to bring their creations to millions of users running on hundreds of different platforms and devices around the world. In the Unity Platform team, we make sure the Unity Engine and Editor are on every major platform where our users want to go and where real-time content is needed. We serve our developers, internal and external, by building a robust platform that enables them to target any device or form factor with a single set of APIs and extensibility points.
The Hybrid Renderer team executes on this mission by building and supporting the rendering layer that connects our rendering engine to our forward looking DOTS architecture, a data oriented approach to game development that will enable developers to achieve unprecedented scale with their games and applications.
To help the teams to achieve this mission we are looking for an engineering leader to help a small team of senior engineers define their goals and drive execution. To be successful in the job, technical leadership experience, great interpersonal and communication skills as well as excellent technical insights are necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the continuous development, delivery, release and engineering progression of Unity’s Hybrid Renderer
  • Lead a small team of developers to delivery high quality features and performance improvements
  • Help shape the roadmap and strategy for how we can best help creators leverage the power of DOTS to make successful games with Unity
