Description:

Enterprise Architect
ING Luxembourg’s, a financial institution providing retail and wholesale banking services, is seeking to recruit for its Centre of Expertise Architecture, at its headquarters in Luxembourg, an Enterprise Architect.
This is a full-time position for which ING offers a permanent contract.
Your role & work environment
As an Enterprise Architect, you will play a key role in developing a holistic
understanding of the Bank. You will partner with the business and IT, provide architecture guidance, contribute to the bank transformation and co-design solutions aligned with the bank strategy, effectively bridging the gap between business and technology.
You will be part of the Center of Expertise Architecture, a team of about ten architects, led by the ING Luxembourg Chief Architect, and directly reporting to the CIO. You will be involved in strategic initiatives and have the ability to influence the direction the Information System shall take and contribute to its steering.
You will be assigned to one or more domains of the bank (KYC / AML / CFT, Wholesale Banking, Lending, Investments, etc) where you will have the ability to contribute to the domains transformation as well as modernization, and teamwork with heads of Departments and their teams (team leaders, business analysts, Developers and Ops), effectively working on several architecture dimensions: business, process, data, application, flows, technical, organizational.
The work is carried out in an Agile way of working with a significant international collaboration with ING teams present on other countries.
Your key responsibilities

Within the scope of the domains you are assigned to:

  • Defining the Target State Architecture, co-designing with stakeholders
  • Maintaining the Current State Architecture
  • Defining multi-years architecture roadmap
  • Creating and maintaining business and technical capabilities maps
  • Defining the architecture the projects shall implement, co-designing with stakeholders having in mind scalability, sustainability, resilience and reliability
  • Ensuring the solutions are aligned with the bank and IT strategies, as well as technological standards and market best practices
  • Verifying the implementation is aligned on the architecture designed
  • Performing trend watch (business and technical)
  • Assessing architecture debt
  • Managing architecture standards
  • Maintaining the inventory of technologies used and promote consolidation

Competences:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in Enterprise Architecture
  • Holistic understanding of the inner working of a bank
  • Good knowledge of some banking domains: preferably KYC / AML / CFT, Wholesale Banking (Fund industry, Depositary and Custody, Transaction, Financing, Lending, Trading) but other banking business domains will be considered
  • Good technical background and technical architecture knowledge : API, micro-services, BPM, Messaging, Middleware, Application servers, Databases systems, Operating Systems, Virtualization, Cloud (private, public, hybrid)
  • Good security knowledge: IT Risk, Security Best practices, IAM, IG, Fraud detection
  • Ability to build business cases, compute ROI and break-even point
  • Fluent in English and French
