About the role
We are looking for Senior Enterprise Architect who is self-starter to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment that can join our Enterprise Architecture Team.
This is an individual contributor role that is responsible for architecting diverse solutions and conducting the business of Enterprise Architecture.
This a global role based in EMEA region that requires partnering with the broader JLL Technologies teams at the country, regional and global level by utilizing in-depth knowledge of industry leading enterprise applications, infrastructure, technologies and application engineering experience.
Provide strategic direction for the Enterprise platforms at JLL by educating self and others in new technology trends in Enterprise application space that are applicable to JLL needs and use cases.
Provide strong technical leadership in all aspects of enterprise employee user experience applications, application messaging, application integrations, application portability, application development and deployment on the traditional enterprise stack and cloud.
Demonstrated ability to make decisions in lieu of incomplete information and rationalize/socialize the decision to a set of global stakeholders.
Provide guidance, governance and oversight of multiple application development efforts in parallel. Ability to handle large number of parallel initiatives is a key strength.
Acts as the technical bridge between solution architects and business / IT leadership by messaging appropriately.
Anticipates internal and/or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues; recommends process, product or service improvements
Develop and maintains current and planned state architectural documents – Domain roadmaps, Standards, Patterns, reference architecture/implementation documents
Works closely with the other EA domains like Applications, Infrastructure, Cloud, Network and Security as well as with the business to identify, recommend, develop, and support cost-effective application hosting solutions and technologies for all aspects of JLL.
Analyzes and communicates benefits and risks associated with IT investments and participates in Regional IT governance and decision making, adhering to standards.
Ensure applications, processes, and procedures of the Enterprise Application team comply with JLL standards including security policies, change management, SOC2 and other critical business requirements
Performs architecture design with senior technical staff and product technical leads to design new products or enhancements
Set technical architecture roadmap for all application stack technologies and defines technical standards for the team. This includes SDLC and DevOps tooling and technologies, API Gateways, integration patterns for on-premise, cloud based and hybrid n-tier applications.
Help to technically evaluate and implement 3rd party solutions. This includes 3rd party applications along with development tools and libraries.
Provide initial analysis and recommendation for new capabilities / solution requests from business on possible target platforms as well as available applications.
Required Skills and Knowledge
Have demonstrated expertise of Microsoft technologies and Azure cloud.
Solid understanding of application runtimes, microservices architecture, API management, content management, O365 services, Application Security, SaaS application integrations.
Excellent knowledge of the best available tools, software, applications, and systems that support application hosting.
Experience with application automation frameworks like Puppet, CHEF, Ansible, Octopus etc.
Experience with application gateways like Apigee and Azure API management.
Demonstrable experience in technology, including as an Architect, lead developer, lead engineer, or technical lead
Experience leading and managing application technology teams
Breath of expertise in application technologies and architectural best practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with problem solving skills, leadership and a willingness to collaborate and drive change
Ability to influence peers and senior leadership (IT and Business) and a strong ability to lead teams through change
Experience architecting complex use cases leveraging multi-vendor environment technologies. Broad enterprise systems experience including MSFT, custom Java/.NET applications
Experience with claims authentication architecture and providers (Okta, PingFederate, ADFS), load balancer and firewall concepts, certificate and key management concepts, networking infrastructure, server configuration, database architecture, and Microsoft Azure PaaS and IaaS is preferred
