Responsibilities
  • Provide for the physical protection and security of personnel, property and assets through proactive measures and effective incident response, ensuring compliance with Arvest Bank policies and procedures.
  • Issue and maintain accurate records of physical security credentials for new hires, transfers, terminations, and lost or compromised credentials.
  • Respond to and manage security incidents, including identifying and diffusing disruptive behavior and escalating to management and/or law enforcement. Have the ability to use negotiation and persuasion skills to maintain control until the Area Security Manager and/or law enforcement arrives and intervenes.
  • Advise leadership in addressing security incidents and concerns and maintaining a safe working environment for associates and customers. Collaborate with management, HR, law enforcement and third-party consultants as needed, escalating issues when necessary. Deliver periodic security awareness training to promote a culture of security consciousness among employees.
  • Provide guidance and direction to junior Security Specialists during security incident investigations, including requesting video surveillance, collaborating with law enforcement and internal stakeholders, and preparing a written analysis for the Physical Security Leadership to prepare incident reports.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local law enforcement and the regional security team to ensure effective collaboration. Develop relationships with other security professionals in banking and other industries.
  • Provide guidance and direction to third-party guards regarding post orders, procedures, and safety protocols, ensuring operational consistency and compliance with site-specific requirements. May also ensure that the third-party guards maintain the needed network or physical access credentials.
  • Collaborate with third-party security vendors and contractors, ensuring service level agreements are met and performance is optimized. Serve as a technical resource for the team, providing complex troubleshooting and problem-solving support for security technologies.
  • Maintain an understanding of Arvest’s security program, policies, standards, and procedures. Monitor security trends and emerging technologies to proactively mitigate potential risks and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of security measures. Through continuous learning activities, maintain knowledge of, make recommendations, and implement physical security best practices, compliance, and emerging trends.
  • Collaborate with other Enterprise Physical Security team members by providing feedback and details from site visits related to third-party vendors and bank equipment installations. Report on new construction, remodels, or ATM-related projects, ensuring all equipment is installed to standards and operational and that local facility staff has been trained. Provide oversight on tracking and managing physical security assets.
  • Routinely perform facility security checks to identify threats and vulnerabilities, including outside perimeter checks ensuring all exterior lights work properly all security devices at each location are in proper working order and identifying local associate concerns. Take immediate action to mitigate security risks.
  • Provide backup support to junior team members when necessary.
  • Serve as contact for the alarm monitoring company and local law enforcement. Provide guidance and collaborate with local leadership to maintain and update authorized contact lists for the alarm monitoring company for all region-assigned security contacts. Be in the on-call rotation for alarm calls after hours and respond to after-hours emergencies or break-fix issues as needed.
  • Coordinate and provide processes, procedures, new products, new equipment, and daily task training for the team.
  • Demonstrate leadership across multiple projects, peer groups, and departments in thought, initiative, responsibility, teamwork, actions, and culture.
  • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank’s BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; completing compliance training and adhering to internal procedures and controls; reporting any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and reporting any suspicious customer and/or account activity
