ABOUT US:

Talis Consultants is a multi-disciplinary consultancy based in WA, QLD, Victoria, and NSW. We provide specialist consultancy services in Engineering, Environmental Services, Waste Management, Spatial Intelligence and Asset Management.
We are seeking an Environmental Consultant to join our Environmental Team on a full-time basis. This position is available in either our Leederville, WA or Kalgoorlie, WA office.

The role will be within our Approvals and Assessments team and will include:

  • Approvals and impact assessment;
  • Audit and compliance;
  • Monitoring and Management;
  • Closure; and
  • Contribution to a range of GIS tasks.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or higher;
  • A minimum of 4 years working in a professional environment in a similar role;
  • Previous experience working in the Environmental industry;
  • Experience in dealing with environmental and mining approvals as well as mine closure;
  • Experience with GIS is an advantage;
  • Experience in coordinating/completing complex technical assessments, records and written reports;
  • Experience in working within a consultancy or working on site;
  • Excellent reporting and communication skills;
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills;
  • Advanced skills and experience using the Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc);
  • Exceptional problem-solving and negotiation skills;
  • Strong understanding in the application of ISO 9001 standards;
  • Demonstrated adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, dynamic work environments;
  • Positive attitude, strong work mentality with flexibility and willingness to learn.
