    An Environmental Health Officer is required to monitor and enforce standards of environmental and public health within the municipality. You will examine and approve applications, plans, food registration, renewals and transfers under the Food Act as well as advise the community and commercial operators of guidelines and statutory obligations. You will also provide COVID pandemic support. You will inspect and audit registered establishments and serve notices as required to ensure compliance.
    To be successful you will have extensive knowledge of public health legislation and a working knowledge of food safety program review processes. You will have relevant experience dealing with landslip, land capability assessments, drainage, domestic and commercial waste water systems, public health and environmental issues. You will have a relevant degree or equivalent experience. Prior experience in a Local Government environment will be desirable. You will also hold a current Victorian Driver’s License.
