The Team:
The Controllership team in the Finance function plays a critical role in ensuring accurate reporting of the company’s financial information and compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The Role:
The ESG Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing our company’s ESG strategies and initiatives. This role requires high standards for accuracy and meeting deadlines, excellent project management and communication skills, and a deep understanding of ESG frameworks and reporting standards. This role will report to the Assistant Controller and will be based out of our corporate headquarters in Natick, Massachusetts. This is a high-visibility role that offers significant exposure to company leadership as well as opportunities to take on increasing responsibilities within the company.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive ESG strategies aligned with the company’s mission, values, and business goals.
  • Oversee the collection, management, and analysis of ESG data to support reporting and performance improvement.
  • Lead the preparation and dissemination of ESG reports, ensuring compliance with relevant reporting requirements for the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), California SB 253 and SB 261, CDP questionnaire, and others.
  • Monitor and interpret ESG-related regulations and industry trends to ensure the company’s adherence to legal requirements and best practices.
  • Engage with employees, customers, investors, and other stakeholders to communicate the company’s ESG performance and initiatives.
  • Ensure strong internal controls around the ESG reporting process and compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of ESG reporting.
  • Develop and maintain ESG metrics and KPIs to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to communicate complex ESG concepts to diverse audiences, both internally and externally

Minimum education and work experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Master’s degree is a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, standards, and reporting requirements (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD)
  • Certification in ESG or sustainability (e.g., LEED, CSR-P, etc.) is a plus
