Description:

JOB SUMMARY

This is a newly created role designed to bring innovation and oversight to a growing team of skilled trades’ specialists providing internal and external maintenance works within a care setting.
The role is designed to provide support and development to existing teams, and their leaders, who specialise in remedial repairs and proactive renovation works as well as external grounds works, ensuring that our colleagues and customers live and work in a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment.
As part of our role vision, we are looking for an applicant who will help empower and support the development of current staff; someone who will use their knowledge and experience to bring new techniques and harness innovative ways of efficient and safe working within the wider team.
The ideal candidate will ideally have a strong background in maintenance with excellent knowledge in assessing works required and associated timeframes. They will also possess an excellent working knowledge of Health and Safety related practices, as well as the ability to constructively audit and provide feedback on works undertaken.
The organisation also features a specialist IT systems design and support team who work to provide easy to use but high quality IT infrastructure which is specific to the organisation needs. The successful post holder will be comfortable in the use of IT and be willing to embrace IT in the delivery of their role.

QUALIFICATIONS & KEY SKILLS

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar role which would indicate the successful undertaking of tasks required
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to develop job costs based on resources and products required. Strong problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, Gas, Electrical, IOSH, NEEBOSH) are an advantage
