The Boeing Company is looking for an F/A-18 Experienced Electrical Mechanic to join our team in San Antonio, TX.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft electrical modification to electrical wiring and system components
- 5+ years of experience with shop practices, electrical/electronic theories and systems
- 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform electrical modification/repair
- 5+ years of experience accessing aircraft computer data systems to initiate on-line parts and discrepancy requests
- Able to work variable shifts
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Experience with F-18/Fighter or Depot Level/Modification maintenance
- Active Clearance (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.).
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, repair and modify aircraft structures and structural components
- Maintain and repair aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components
- Determine equipment malfunctions to restore equipment condition and or operation
- interpret technical documentation such as blueprints or manufactures’ manuals
- Perform on and off aircraft electrical modification to electrical wiring and system components
- Perform complex connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables and fiber optic wiring
- Troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft electrical and environmental systems depot maintenance level
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.
