At Starbridge, our Facilities Manager plays a vital role in ensuring that our residences and vehicles are safe, functional, and welcoming. This position combines hands-on maintenance with leadership and oversight, helping our programs run smoothly so we can continue making a difference in people’s lives.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma required.
  • At least 5 years of general maintenance experience preferred (carpentry, plumbing, equipment/appliance repair, cosmetic repairs).

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and networking abilities.
  • Basic computer literacy and general knowledge of Microsoft programs.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be ambulatory and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb a ladder.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations for agency facilities and vehicles.
  • Supervise and support maintenance staff to ensure quality and timely work.
  • Coordinate routine and emergency repairs, including evening and weekend on-call needs.
  • Ensure vehicles are kept in safe working condition, registered, and inspected on time.
  • Manage preventive maintenance services for all residences in line with OPWDD regulations.
  • Obtain estimates, schedule contractors, and oversee preservation and construction projects.
  • Purchase necessary supplies and equipment, maintaining cost-effective practices.
  • Collaborate with state liaisons on regulation guidelines and submit annual preservation project applications.
  • Maintain a network of reliable vendors for specialized repairs.
  • Partner with program leadership in property planning and development.
