Job Description
As a valuable member of the Conversions team, you will deliver championship service throughout the organization. Under the direction of the Supervisor of Conversions and working in conjunction with the lead hands, you shall be responsible for performing routine duties and completing conversion requirements associated with the day-to-day activities of the conversion division of the Building Operations department. Duties include but are not limited to manual labor, event set-up and tear-down activities, compliance with equipment handling guidelines, and other functions and duties as required by the Conversion Supervisor and Conversion Manager.

Position: Part-time
- Work with a team to convert and prepare the arena for events including hockey, basketball, lacrosse, concerts, and other public/private events.
- Ensure that all storage rooms are kept clean and organized.
- Notify Conversion Supervisors of equipment and facilities in need of repair and/ or replacement, and of supplies requiring replenishment.
- Interact with other departmental personnel in a cooperative and professional manner.
- Complete daily assignments as assigned.
- Preventative maintenance and repair of facility permanent and telescoping seating.
- Perform pre/post-event or conversion inspections and document with completed checklists.
- Perform cleaning and maintenance on operations department equipment, and keep work areas and equipment organized and functional.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Conversion Supervisor and Conversion Manager.
- Adhere to MLSE service standards and policies.
- Follow all MLSE Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Qualifications

- Available to work the overnight shift on weekdays/weekends with some flexibility for late afternoon shifts; with the requirement of staying until the completion of the conversion process.
- Must be able to do repeated carrying and lifting (up to 65 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, able to extend arms, stoop, walk, and display adequate motor functions for extended periods.
- Communicate positively and professionally with internal colleagues and departments as well as deliver world-class service to the fans.
- Previous experience in general labor/construction as an asset.
- Forklift training is an asset.
- Ability to work while under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Very nice to have: access to technology at home / mobile (computer or cell phone) that allows you to sign up on EmpCentre for shifts.
