1 x 22.5 hrs TTO – permanent
Are you a dynamic and motivated healthcare worker looking for a new challenge? An exciting opportunity has become available to join our passionate School Nurse Team as a ‘Family Help School Nurse Assistant’ to support the delivery of early help and public health interventions to children and young people in Stockport.
School nursing is a universal public health service for children and young people of school age encompassing the Healthy Child Programme 0-19 (2016). This is a nationally developed evidenced based programme which is available to all children and aims to ensure that every child gets the good start they need to lay the foundations of a healthy life.
Stockport School Nursing Services are part of the Women, Children and Diagnostics Business Group of Stockport Foundation Trust, and is also part of a wider integrated children’s service with Stockport Council called ‘Stockport Family’ which is an improved way of working with children and families in Stockport. The service includes health visiting, early help and social care services.
You will be given a full training support package to undertake this role
The post holder will work as an integral member of the Stockport Family Service to promote the health, learning and development of children through a variety of interventions and strategies delivered in the home and community settings such as schools, family hubs and health centres
work with partners to ensure that services are coordinated and that groups/activities provided will meet the needs of school age children and their families
