You will make contributions that matter by…

  • Being the main point of contact for a select number of farms and supporting them in delivering the day-to-day operational plans
  • Ensuring security of milk supply through strong and consistent relationships, supporting farmers with future plans and understanding the SDUK business and our strategy
  • Supporting the Sustainability Manager – Milk, to deliver the Sustainable farm plan for each individual farm and ensure full engagement, resulting in emissions reduction across our milk pool.
  • As well FBM accountabilities, a specific focus on managing supply and demand into Davidstow, including day to day volume management, forecasting, quality management and working closely to site and GDL to deliver this.

You are best suited for the role if you have…

  • Strong industry knowledge and understanding of the dairy farming landscape (Technical, Welfare, Nutrition, Costings)
  • Experience of working directly with farmers and/or in the milk supply chain
  • A proven track record of managing and/or active participation in projects from concept through to delivery
  • The ability to analyse and interpret farm business data with good knowledge of excel
  • Self-motivation as well as ability to demonstrate working well as part of a team
  • Strong influencing skills
  • A current drivers license as this role involved travelling to farms
