Flight Test Engineer

In this role, you will:

• Participate in actual flight tests, typically as the Test Conductor or part of the test crew
• Analyse the data after flight tests to interpret flight parameters, identify anomalies, and assess performance against design specifications
• Prepare detailed reports summarizing test results, findings, and recommendations which are crucial for certification and further design improvements
• Assist in obtaining regulatory certifications and provide data and analysis to the airworthiness authorities to demonstrate compliance with requirements and safety standards
• Assess risks associated with specific tests and ensure safety protocols are followed
• Develop test plans, define objectives, and coordinate with other team members. This involves understanding the UAV systems, performance requirements, and safety protocols
• Collect data on parameters like speed, altitude, engine performance, and aerodynamics during trials

Requirements

• Masters / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Aeronautical & Aerospace Technology or any related fields
• Prior working experience and technical skills in flight testing is preferred
• Willing to travel for work / trials for extended periods
• A team player and able to work well with others
