THE OPPORTUNITY:

As HKA continues to expand our presence, areas of expertise and reputation across fields and industries, our newest step growing our Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages team in Canada! This is a great opportunity to join at “ground level” and make an impact as the team and the service line as a whole.
We are seeking professionals in the Greater Toronto/Mississauga Area on a hybrid-office work schedule. We are seeking professionals at levels ranging from experienced Associates looking to take their early skillsets to the next level, all the way to established Director-level professionals looking to take their expertise in a new direction.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Career experience in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
  • Familiarity with the Services/Consulting organizations.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics.
  • For more senior level candidates: experience in disputes consulting, business consulting, forensic accounting or public accounting.
  • Commitment to undertaking high-quality analysis with strong problem solving and attention to detail.
  • Technical experience in data analytics and the ability to manipulate data. Experience with SQL and/or other database management tools a plus, but not required.
  • Confidence in using key Microsoft Suite tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that allow efficiency and clarity when interacting with a wide variety of audiences, and simplifying complex topics.
  • CPA License preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage or support client projects by collating research and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Communicate with client project liaison on a consistent basis.
  • Provide collaboration on the production of Expert reports.
  • Assist with building complex models to analyze economic and financial data using spreadsheets and databases.
  • Communicate with clients using varying levels of complexity to relay data, findings and suggestions and manage their expectations effectively.
  • Work within deadlines/priorities across multiple projects, delegating/collaborating with team members.
  • A positive and collaborative way of working, fostering good internal and external relationships whilst maintaining the confidential nature of client relationships and related work products.
