Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Work in a Value Stream environment and formulate clinical diagnostic assays and reagents for use in research and commercial scientific products for the IVD industry. The formulations range in scale from 1 mL to 50,000 L and are manufactured using protocols/batch records in an environmentally monitored lab space. Data is recorded in batch records following good documentation practices as required for regulated industries.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2 years of lab experience (maybe obtained through work or school)
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office, with the ability to learn company software such as SAP, Agile, and Track wise.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Communicate clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Position may require frequent communication and walking to other areas in which designated PPE will be required.
- Must be able to successfully complete a Respirator Fit Test within 6 months of hire.
- May be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties.
- May intermittently sit at desk/lab bench for a long period of time to perform experiments, write, and use a keyboard to communicate through written means.
Responsibilities:
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Complete production and quality analysis of reagents, components and finished products in accordance with SOPs, work instructions and the production schedule to ensure timely availability of efficient products of high quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Routinely manufacture saleable products, following standard operating procedures
- Operate semi-automated and automated basic lab equipment
- 85-95% of time spent on work order processing of bulk formulation. May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
- Performance of highly repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
- Thoroughly and accurately complete documentation through completion of batch records and necessary verifications
- Report critical issues/deviations to management
- Balance multiple tasks and demonstrate knowledge in the use of basic lab techniques and basic computer knowledge
- Communicate effectively with team members, including cross-functional teams
- Provides feedback and contributes ideas and suggestions to drive continuous improvement
- Demonstrate good time management resulting in efficiency and improvement of output goals
- May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Lifting up to 40 lbs
- Flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed including weekends.
- Work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials.
