ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in general labouring, groundwork, or construction.

DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • CSCS card or equivalent site certification.
  • Experience in reinstatement activities, such as paving, tarmacking, or landscaping.
  • Familiarity with operating small plant machinery (e.g., compactors, mini excavators).
  • First Aid or other relevant safety training certifications.
Responsibilities

ROLE PURPOSE

The General Labourer / Groundworker is responsible for supporting Mobilisation, Excavation, and Reinstatement (MER) operations across a variety of geotechnical and construction projects. This role involves assisting MER Operatives with site preparation, excavation, material handling, and the reinstatement of excavated areas, ensuring work is performed efficiently and in compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.

HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a General Labourer / Groundworker, you are responsible for:

  • Following all HSE policies and procedures on-site.
  • Participating in daily safety briefings and implementing agreed controls.
  • Reporting any safety incidents, hazards, or near-misses to the Site Supervisor.
