INTRODUCTION

We are looking for a Global Process Owner, Strategic Procurement, to lead, develop, and maintain global procurement processes, policies, guidelines, and trainings. The ideal candidate should combine subject matter expertise with a change-oriented mindset and be trusted by key stakeholders to oversee process development in our procurement transformation. You will collaborate closely with the Global Procurement Process Owner, who is leading the Proc to Pay workstream in the SAP S4/Hana program, ensuring all SAP connections are integrated into our business processes. Additionally, you’ll work with our team’s Source to Pay Project Manager, Product Owners, and other key stakeholders throughout the business to capture critical process elements and help build the foundational process maps and procedures for our organization.
This position is a global role, and we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. Depending on where the person is hired, 20% travel to Europe may be required.

• Manage and own active process development portfolio for strategic procurement area aligned with operational procurement
• Lead all workshop planning and facilitation activities with stakeholders to collect inputs and drive process mapping, governance, and adherence.
• Assess our strategic sourcing processes to identify harmonization opportunities and drive Procurement organizations for efficiency improvements when applicable.
• Actively strive for best practice / continuous process improvement and drive development to improve efficiency through digitalization and automation in line with the internal strategy.
• Facilitate and support implementation and training across the Procurement organization.
• Establish and maintain procurement process control structure, rules, policies, and guidelines.
• Support the assessment of the strategic procurement digital tool landscape.
• Ensure strategic procurement compliance and act as a key procurement interface to internal and external auditors.
• Support and, when required, coordinate required system development in cooperation with the IT organization.
• Actively collaborate within Metso’s process owner community and ensure alignment across the various stakeholder groups.
