Description Season: Fall (IHSA Season) Position Overview Marian Central Catholic High School is seeking a dedicated, faith-driven, and student-centered Head Girls Golf Coach to lead and grow the girls golf program. The head coach is responsible for developing student-athletes both competitively and personally, while upholding the mission and values of Marian Central Catholic. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and oversee all aspects of the girls golf program (varsity and any lower levels) Develop a competitive and sustainable program focused on long-term growth Promote multi-level participation and actively recruit within the school community Teach fundamental and advanced golf skills, course management, and rules of play Design and implement effective daily practice plans Foster individual improvement and team cohesion Provide instruction that emphasizes discipline, accountability, and sportsmanship Coordinate match schedules in alignment with conference and Illinois High School Association guidelines Manage all aspects of competitions including lineup decisions, transportation coordination, and communication Ensure compliance with all IHSA rules and eligibility requirements Serve as a positive role model consistent with Marian Central Catholic’s Catholic identity Promote leadership, respect, integrity, and teamwork Support the academic success and well-being of all student-athletes Maintain clear and consistent communication with players, parents, and school administration Collaborate with the Athletic Director on program goals, scheduling, and needs Utilize platforms such as GameChanger or school communication tools for updates Inventory and manage equipment and uniforms Assist with budgeting and program needs Ensure proper supervision and safety protocols at all practices and matches Attend required athletic department meetings Requirements Qualifications Previous coaching or competitive golf experience preferred Knowledge of IHSA rules and regulations Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills Commitment to the mission of Marian Central Catholic High School Ability to obtain required certifications (CPR/AED, background check, etc.) Preferred Attributes Passion for developing young athletes of varying skill levels Ability to build a positive and disciplined team culture Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Willingness to collaborate and contribute to the overall athletic department
