JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are Bank House. An award-winning restaurant and cocktail bar in the beautiful Peak District village of Hathersage.
With great transport links from Manchester and Sheffield, this is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced chef with great management skills, who is passionate about the quality they are producing, using seasonal, local, fresh ingredients to create a fantastic creative food offering.
Bank House is part of a family owned hospitality, retail and leisure group The Northern Collective, currently operating 8 properties across the Peak District and south Sheffield.

As Head Chef, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a kitchen team
  • Menu development including weekly and seasonal specials
  • Supplier management and stock ordering
  • Preparing and cooking in accordance with quality guidelines
  • Maintaining consistency for all dishes
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen environment
  • Maintaining stock levels and stock auditing
  • Adhere strictly to health & safety and food hygiene procedures

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have proven experience as a Head Chef in a similar venue
  • Have worked in a fast paced kitchen
  • Be able to work with little supervision
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and maintain a five star food hygeine rating
  • Have experience in a similar position
  • Be eager and want to take a step forward with their career
