Welcome to the Disruption Company. As Head of Design in Singapore, you will lead and elevate our design practice in Singapore. You will be responsible for creative output—client work and in-house projects alike—leading and mentoring junior creatives to ideate, produce, and deliver disruptive design that solves real business challenges. You’ll set the design vision and roadmap to align with our objectives, champion a user-centred, design-driven culture, and uphold our standards of creative excellence and profitability.

IDEATION + STRATEGIC ACUMEN

  • Develop and articulate the overall design vision and roadmap in alignment with business goals.
  • Champion a design-driven culture, embedding user-centred thinking throughout the organisation.
  • Develop disruptive creative that meets both our clients’ objectives as well as our business objectives, maintaining the company’s expected levels of creative excellence and professionalism
  • Proactive in bringing new ideas / concepts on brands across industries.
  • Driver of disruptive work that achieves synergy: Results oriented in both business and creative output
  • Constantly up skilling, proactively keeping up with trends in the creative / social / digital trends and best practices; know what works, how to incorporate these into campaigns, and how to evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Constantly and strategically looking for opportunities to grow the client’s creative appetite.

BUSINESS ACUMEN

  • Skilled in business and commercial acumen - i.e. Understanding how to operate in a cost efficient and profitable manner.
  • Deep understanding of the clients’ and agency’s business, able to provide creative counsel to clients, establish objectives and plans to meet them.
  • Constantly and creatively looking for opportunities to grow the business.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • 10-15 years working experience as a creative
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience and knowledge of marketing and advertising
  • Thorough and contemporary knowledge and understanding of the latest innovations, trends and developments in our industry
  • Proven curiosity for and hands-on experience with generative AI tools (e.g. Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT for ideation)

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Commercial and creative minded
  • Excellent relationship management
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite; proficient in Microsoft Office/Mac apps; proficient in Microsoft Office and Mac applications
  • Skilled at integrating AI workflows responsibly, balancing innovation with quality and ethics.
  • Leadership experience in managing internal teams, supervising and training staff while prioritising and allocating tasks
