Just Like Family Home Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. We are committed to providing exceptional support to our clients, and we’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for enhancing the quality of life for individuals with unique care needs. For this client, you must be okay with smoking, cats and dogs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care, including assistance with hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
  • Perform safe transfers and mobility support.
  • Manage catheter care, bowel care, and other specialized tasks related to quadriplegic care.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Ensure a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for all clients.

Qualifications:

  • Must be registered on the Alberta Health Care Aide (HCA) Directory OR possess substantial equivalent experience in caregiving.
  • Proven experience with personal care, transfers, catheter care, bowel care, and quadriplegic care is essential.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and follow care plans diligently.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
