Salary:Up to £20,402.09 per annum (£28,522.88 full time equivalent), depending on experience

THE EXCITING ROLE

A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Health & Safety Coordinator to join our Health & Safety team on a permanent basis. The role involves working 30 hours per week, on a 40 week per year contract.

We are looking for a proactive, organised and people focused team player to join us. The role will involve working closely with our Health & Safety and Security Manager to help create a safe, welcoming and well-prepared learning environment for our students, staff and visitors.
The role will be based at our Accrington & Rossendale campus, however travel across sites will be required.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Supporting the daily running of our health and safety systems
• Helping carry out risk assessments, inspections and audits
• Assisting with incident investigations and safety reports
• Coordinating fire drills, first aid arrangements and emergency procedures
• Keeping records tidy, up to date and ready for action
• Working with teams across the college to promote a strong safety culture
