Description:
Location: UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital, US:CO:Highlands Ranch
Department: HIM Scanning
FTE: Part Time, 0.5, 40.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days; This position is based at Highlands Ranch Hospital (HRH), and will have a choice between two shifts: Sun-Thurs or Tue-Sat (20 hours).
Pay: $19.10 - $24.83 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant’s relevant experience
Summary:
- Performs clerical duties and technical skills associated with medical record scanning.
- Performs document preparation, scanning and indexing of medical records, and audits results for image quality and accuracy.
- Assembles and maintains complete medical records.
- Scans medical records accurately and timely.
- Validates accuracy of scanned documentation.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
- Preferred: Training in Medical Terminology and Human Anatomy.
- Preferred: Certified as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
- Minimum Experience: 1 year of experience in patient health information or medical records scanning.
