A member of the corporate HR team and reporting to the Director, Employee Experience, this hands-on role will provide global support sites in a wide variety of Human Resources programs throughout all phases of the employee lifecycle. The HR Coordinator will also provide front line support to the staff in the Corporate office regarding benefits and general HR inquiries.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A university degree or college diploma in social sciences or business with specialization in human resources;
- Knowledge of applicable provincial and federal employment legislation;
- Working proficiency of Microsoft Office, human resource information systems;
- Excellent communication, organization, analytical, and digital literacy are required, with an ability to facilitate commitment to a positive team effort;
- Able to be organized in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
Responsibilities:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of provincial and federal laws regarding human resources activities for all operating Alamos locations, specifically Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba, to ensure Company policies and practices are compliant;
- Communicate relevant federal and provincial legislation changes to key HR partners across the Company;
- Conduct research and recommend best practices as required in support of the execution and implementation of the global HR strategy.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees to the corporate office.
- Coordinate presentations or workshops on relevant programs and policies as required.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of local and enterprise-wide programs designed to enhance employee experience for all phases of the employee lifecycle.
- Provide local front line client support for inquiries regarding benefits and wellness programs
- Conduct research on potential programs to facilitate learning and development initiatives at the request of various departments across the Company;
- Provide global HRIS reporting, administration, and troubleshooting support to the HR Analyst, HRIS and Analytics.
- Other HR projects, duties and responsibilities as required.
