Let’s shape it together.   Are you ready to shape the future of HSE in energy?   We have an opportunity for an HSE Advisor – Electrical Transmission Network, working as a trusted partner across contractors, to identify risks, conduct assurance activities, and facilitates investigations to drive continuous improvement and compliance with AusNet’s HSE frameworks.   What you’ll help deliver   Provide practical HSE coaching, advice and guidance to field teams and contractors. Support implementation of critical risk program including controls and monitor effectiveness. Conduct site inspections, audits, and first line of defence assurance activities to verify compliance Lead incident investigations and facilitate learning teams Participate in risk assessments and job safety analysis Monitor and report on high-risk activities, where gaps exist create a gap closure plan and ensure timely closure of actions. Work with contractors to align safety procedures and standards Review HSE data for dashboards and leadership forums for governance and reporting needs Escalate emerging risks and recommend improvement actions Encourage proactive hazard identification and reporting.   You don’t need to check every box, however we’re looking for a good combination of:   Cert IV in WHS and ideally a Construction white card At least 5 years proven experience in HSE for high hazard industries in field environments, providing advice to operational contracted teams Experience in energy, construction, rail or major projects is essential Experience conducting risk assessments, inspections and assurance with documented outcomes, as well as end-to-end incident investigation and analysis Facilitated safety conversations, toolboxes, learning reviews; measurable uplift and reporting closure rates. Collaboratively working with delivery partners, with a track record of working with contracted partners End to end involvement in investigations, including root cause analysis and facilitation of learning reviews.
