WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We’re looking for an Inclusion and Diversity Leader, Americas. The Inclusion & Diversity Leader (Americas) is a critical role to execute on our Global Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) strategy within the Americas. The I&D Leader (Americas) will provide expertise and consultation to the CEOs, Local I&D committees, and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to achieve greater inclusion and belonging for all through the retention, engagement, development and promotion of our people. The Leader will champion and be the strategic lead for I&D in the Americas and be the conduit between local and global strategy. This role will work cross functionally at the local and global level with our People Teams, Talent Acquisition, Marketing & Communications (MarComms), and other business functions, to align efforts with the Enterprise I&D strategy while driving local metrics, programs and accountability.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a role model and ambassador for inclusive leadership and the global I&D strategy
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to approve their plans, budget and ensure they are executing activities in alignment with the overall I&D strategy
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and key resource for advice, consultation and execution of initiatives related to diversity, inclusiveness, belonging, and equity across Americas
  • Be a central point of contact for key stakeholders (CEO Americas, ERG Leaders, People Leaders, Talent team, etc) regarding I&D for the Americas and working closely with Global I&D Leader to ensure greater consistency and sharing best practice across the enterprise
  • Organize and lead Americas I&D Committee and support Global I&D Council reps in any local efforts required
  • Develop and design of I&D learning and programs as necessary
  • Serve as diversity liaison for compliance related projects and reports (e.g. AODA, Federal Contractors Program)
  • Represent GHD as the subject matter expert on diversity, inclusiveness, belonging and equity within and outside the firm (e.g. conferences, networking events, client meetings)
  • Identify and consult with relevant stakeholders on external strategic sponsorships/partnerships and thought leadership opportunities
  • Monitor performance metrics, keep Global I&D Leader, Americas I&D Committee and Americas leadership informed of progress and challenge the status quo
  • Work with people and management teams, especially with the Talent & Learning Leader, to identify I&D needs in accordance with the organization strategic and operational plans
  • Implement global I&D processes and practices as well as support localized strategies and initiatives in Americas to drive best practice across the business
  • Ensure Self I&D completion rates are tracking positively and aggregate data is available, accurate, understood and used to improve all aspects of the talent lifecycle and the business across Americas
  • Lead and support other approved projects relevant to the role as required, with the ability to travel globally for various meetings and events.
